By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. ## 1. Who this service is for Anyone can play Krillion Space as a guest. To create an account you must be at least 16 years old and old enough to enter into a contract where you live. ## 2. What the service does Krillion Space is a space trivia game: a daily transmission, an endless voyage of nav checks, ghost duels, crews and leaderboards. We publish new transmissions on a schedule and may add, change or remove games and features. Facts in the game are researched in good faith for entertainment. They may be simplified or contain errors, so do not rely on them for any real-world purpose. ## 3. Accounts - Accounts are optional. You sign in with a one-time code or link sent to your email, or with a passkey. - Keep your email account and devices secure. You are responsible for activity on your Krillion Space account. - You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing [support@krilion.app](mailto:support@krilion.app). ## 4. Acceptable use You agree not to: - use bots, scripts or other automation to play, or to manipulate answers, rarity, scores, depth, ratings or leaderboards; - choose a callsign, crew name or colony name, or send a crew transmission, that is abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening or impersonates someone; - scrape, copy or redistribute the transmissions, questions or other content in bulk; - interfere with, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the service or its infrastructure; - use the service for anything unlawful. We may remove names and messages that break these rules, and crew captains can remove members from their crew. ## 5. Your data Our [Privacy Policy](/legal/privacy) explains what we collect and how we use it. Guest progress is tied to an identifier in your browser, so we cannot restore it if you clear your browser data or switch devices without signing in. ## 6. Our intellectual property The service, including its software, design, transmissions, questions, text, name, logo and mascot, belongs to us or our licensors. Images from NASA and other agencies are credited on the [image credits](/credits) page and remain under their own terms. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for your own non-commercial enjoyment. You are welcome to share your results using the share feature. ## 7. Feedback If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you. ## 8. Third-party services The service relies on third parties, including Cloudflare for hosting and email. Their own terms apply to your use of their services, and we are not responsible for them. ## 9. Availability We aim to keep Krillion Space running, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend, change or discontinue the service at any time. ## 10. Disclaimers and liability The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, including lost game progress. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty US dollars (US$50). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. ## 11. Ending the agreement You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or if we discontinue the service. ## 12. Changes We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for changes that materially reduce your rights we will give notice on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that constitutes acceptance. ## 13. Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Pennsylvania have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
